Self assessment tax, property tax, tax planning

With our expert knowledge of both corporate and personal tax, we’re here to help

There are a number of reasons why individuals are required to complete a self assessment tax return. The most common reasons are:

  • Self employed and earned over £1,000
  • A partner in a partnership
  • Earn more than £100,000
  • Income from savings, investments or dividends
  • Income from property
  • Capital gains tax
  • Foreign income
  • You can also choose to submit a tax return to claim some income tax reliefs or if you get child benefit and you / your partner’s earnings are over £50,000

It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to ensure that their tax return is complete, correct and that the right amount of tax is paid on time to HMRC – with heavy penalties and interest being charged for even honest mistakes.

At Numbers we have the expertise and knowledge to minimise the tax payable and will complete your tax return for you – leaving you confident that it’s all taken care of. We can also offer you a fee protection service to minimise any surprise costs incurred should you be subject to a random HMRC investigation. What’s more, we’ll also send you two updates a year following the Annual Budget and Autumn Statement which summarises the key changes made by the Chancellor and how they may affect you.
